The Ministry of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja functions as the exclusive overseer of the school, operating through the Health and Human Services Secretariat (HHSS) and Nursing Department. The FCTA is tasked with the implementation of government and Nursing Council initiatives and policies, particularly pertaining to the development of nursing manpower within the FCT.

In addition, various governmental entities are involved in activities such as recruitment, promotion, staff compensation, and provision of training facilities for the school. Furthermore, the appointment of the institution’s administrative leader and their deputy is carried out by the FCTA.

The SSCE results should not be more than a decade old from the date of the examination.

Candidates will need to participate in an entrance examination and subsequent oral interview. The entrance examination is organized and conducted by the Health and Human Services Secretariat (HHSS) in collaboration with the nursing department. Admission into the program(s) is granted to candidates who achieve the required entry points based on the assessments mentioned above.
